The Local Pub that Loves Everyone
THE BAR THAT LOVES EVERYONE
Charlie’s opened in 2012 as a small neighborhood bar in a transitional downtown setting. The local pub that locals love. Over the years, they have found their voice as the local gay bar, providing a safe space for many LGBTQIA+ events and supporting local community organizations who may need help. They continue to embrace their wonderful eclectic crowd and provide plenty of live music, drag queen bingo, dance parties, and karaoke. Logos, posters, social media, and special event marketing have been updated along the way to reflect their philosophy.
I created the name of the bar. A made up person meant as a friendly local place and face to hang out at. Charlie is a Germanic word karal, which translates to “free man”. The last name has Dwelling means a shelter in which people live.
